Keep Calm

A 2 track reggae single (5m 46s) — released June 17th 2016 on Reggae Roast

Following on from their last single 'We Rule The Dance', which received worldwide support & universal praise, Reggae Roast step up once again with another ruff & tuff slice of Digital Roots courtesy of Interrupt & Tenor Youthman with 'Keep Calm'...

Interrupt brings his own unique take on the classic Admiral Bailey / King Jammy production 'Running From Reality' for our latest single. Interrupt's trademark modern digital Reggae sound perfectly sets the tone for Tenor Youthman to ride the track in his infamous 'Hill & Gully' style. Primed and ready for the soundsystem, this heavyweight 7" record is complete with version on the flip.

Interrupt is quickly building momentum as one of the UK's leading Reggae producers following on from a string of critically acclaimed singles on some of the UK's top labels, including Reggae Roast. Heavily influenced by the 1980's digital dancehall style he has created a fresh sound, achieved whilst still holding onto the roots of dancehall music. Interrupt is definitely one to watch for the future.

Hailing from Russia, Tenor Youthman has Reggae music in his blood and is a soundsystem fanatic. He has been steadily building his reputation as one of the 'go-to' MC's in recent times, attributing his style to the late, great Nitty Gritty & Tenor Saw.

Reggae Roast have built a formidable catalogue of some of the most exciting artists in the UK & beyond. Key players in the resurgence of the UK Reggae scene over the past 8 years, they are a leading light in the new generation of Roots music. Look out for plenty more releases in the coming months from the likes of Adam Prescott, Vibration Lab, Brother Culture and many more.
