I'll Get Along Without You

A 2 track rock steady single (7m ) — released August 14th 2024 on Reggae Roast

'I'll Get Along Without You'/'I'll Dub Along Without You'

Reggae Roast feat. Earl 16

Reggae Roast join forces with Earl 16, one of the most legendary singers of the past 4 decades in the UK Reggae scene, to revisit this classic Rocksteady track.

Sampling The Melodians' 1967 hit of the same name, Reggae Roast breathe new life into an old classic with their signature style, while Earl 16's inimitable vocal texture pays respectful homage to Tony Brevett's original lyrics.

The release also features a brand new Dub version of the track, mixed by Reggae Roast's very own Matt Interrupt, which deconstructs the riddim, showcasing each element in the mix for the listener to behold.

"I'll Get Along Without You" is the latest track from Reggae Roast, taken from their recent album More Fire which features an array of world-famous Reggae stars including Horace Andy, Johnny Clarke, Gappy Ranks, Soom T & Mr Williamz.

Earl 16 has become one of the most revered Reggae singers of his generation, having worked with the crème de la crème of producers in both Jamaica and Europe. He is a foundation Jamaican singer and has been releasing top quality recordings with a variety of producers including; Linval Thompson, Lee Scratch Perry, Augustus Pablo, Clement 'Coxsone' Dodd & Sugar Minott since the mid 1970's.
